Flagstaff to Sante Fe

Yesterday had a rest day and drove to Grand Canyon South Rim, had a very pleasant lunch at Bright Angel Lodge. Today rode Flagstaff to Holbrook, Arizona a very fast 93 miles with tailwind. Two annoying rear wheel punctures from fine wires from truck tyre blowouts, however with gas inflation cylinders does not take long to change, a fine pair of tweezers are useful to pull the wires out. The climbing for the next week is half that of he first week legs stronger every day and average speeds increasing rapidly. I have always been good on the flat. Jo my wife and family friend Elizabeth made a surprise appearance yesterday and have gone off to Monument Valley today, will see them again later in the week. Seeing Winslow Arizona “on the corner” was wonderful as I love The Eagles.
